From fine dining at a restaurant by the Giza Pyramids with just the perfect view of the sunset or a small feast full of traditional cuisine, you get to dine like a king. Talk of ambience!

What do you think are the 10 must-try foods in Egypt?

Basbousa

Here is a little something for the sweet tooths.

Basbousa is a semolina cake popular in the Middle East as well as the countries along the Eastern Mediterranean shores. The cake is soaked with a sugar syrup scented with rose water. My friend Kasiva Mutua will have these shipped from Egypt every weekend if she could.

Maybe we should have a recipe up, yes? Let me know what you think on the comment section. Catch me on the next series of blog posts and let's chat about the 10 must-try. I'll get to share a highlight of some of the foods i found interesting. 9 more to go, let's do this!
